I was born and raised in Columbia SC. I attended the College of Charleston and graduated class of 2020 with a degree in Hospitality & Tourism and Arts Management with a minor in marketing. In college, I did two event planning internships where I fell in love with the events industry! I lived in Charleston for an extra two years after college until I ultimately decided to move back to Columbia to attend esthetician school, as I’ve also always shared a love for skincare, makeup, and helping others feel beautiful & confident. I enrolled in The Southeastern Esthetics Institute in 2022, and became a licensed esthetician in the state of South Carolina by the end of the year.
While in the esthetics industry I also took on a role as office assistant at the spa I was working at and discovered in my time there that I enjoyed the administrative/behind-the-scenes side of the business a lot more. This ultimately led me to take on an administrative assistant role in the boating industry for three years. While I loved my time in boating, I always missed events and the hospitality industry and yearned to work in a career path that more aligned with my college degree, which thus led me to my position here as sales assistant at Southern Way Catering!
I love being able to say that I am able to help contribute in the curation of such important events in people’s lives. Seeing events come to life from start to finish is always such a rewarding feeling and is why I love the events industry so much!
In my free time you can find me walking or hiking along the Cayce/West Columbia riverwalk, spending time with my family, and traveling when I can. I am also a HUGE animal lover and even had my own pet sitting business for a couple of years.
