I’ve spent many, many years in the West Columbia area.  I graduated from Airport high School and established roots not far from my alma mater.  While my friends and colleagues call me Judy, my 3 grandson’s and 1 great-grandson call me Mimi!

I started out my career with Southern Way in 2013 as the Kitchen Manager at Crescent Café located at the SC State Museum.  One of my most memorable accomplishments was winning the Golden Spatula Award.   After my 8 year tenure at the SCSM, I moved to the Pastides Alumni Center and currently hold the title as the Kitchen and Inventory Manager.

I thoroughly enjoy working at the Alumni Center.  I get to be amongst all of the hustle and bustle and it makes for a fast day.  I get to see every type of event from birthday parties, to weddings, to Christmas parties and Galas.  I am a people person so, seeing people happy does my soul good.  Not only do we get to witness guests having fun but our team also has tons of fun as well.  One of my most favorite memories is watching Jesse perform a hand stand in the ballroom.

When I’m not working, I love spending time outside, especially if it’s near the water.  I love boating, kayaking, and hiking trails on the river.
