I love combining my creativity with client’s visions and wanted to be more hands on in the process and that’s where Southern Way fulfills that euphoric sensation. Southern Way is the true definition of, “ Southern Hospitality,” that you hear about from my side of the country.  I can happily go back home and say it does exist and even better, I work where it exists. From the exceptional people I work alongside, to the clients we get to help along the way, and the delectable food and delightful service, it makes coming to work exciting.

I learned early on that music and food can bring anyone together no matter the difference. My mother’s side is Chinese and for many of them, English is not their dominant language. Growing up, food was our shared language. I remember my Nina expressing frustration to her sisters that she couldn’t have full conversations with us and tell us she loved us, so instead, she cooked us all our favorite meals every time we gathered. For many cultures food is a powerful way to show care and love through their actions rather than their words.
